The Food

The food Next Door is about showcasing the best ingredients our fab region has to offer, a team of great chefs working with brilliant local producers to bring the true taste of North Wales from sea and field to the table. You can also dine in the 2 AA Rosette restaurant of the adjoining Dunoon Hotel, where the same ethos applies in a more formal setting.

Here we provide all the quality and finesse of fine dining only without the fuss and formality. Small plates, main plates, sharing boards and seafood. Showcasing the seasons and the region with imagination and flair. Staying true to the source ingredients and keeping it real; no tricks, no gimmicks, just great flavours.

We cure our own meats and fish, the bread and biscuits are baked fresh in house every day, the sauces, mayos and dips all homemade (although we confess to leaving the ketchup to the experts).

Small plates, main plates, sharing boards and seafood. Next Door strives to do justice to the region’s best ingredients, with just a dash of flair and imagination, and a whole dollop of love and care.

Lighter bites, sharing boards and salads, plus great takes on the lunchtime staples. From the classic croque monsieur to the ultimate rarebit; from the benchmark BBC (bacon, brie and cranberry baguette) to a simple soup (although there’s no such thing as a “simple” soup).

The best Sunday Lunch in Llandudno. Probably. Classic roasts – all sourced locally – along with delicious starters and a trio of cracking desserts. And for those not wishing to go the whole hog, a lighter bites menu. Served between midday and 5pm.

Dunoon Hotel Restaurant

You can also eat in the fine dining restaurant of the adjoining Dunoon Hotel, where we have held 2 AA Rosettes since 2013 (check). The ethos there remains precisely the same; that's to say, working with local suppliers and producers to showcase the region's best ingredients and provide a true taste of North Wales. And while the setting is a little more formal and we give due care to presentation, the emphasis is firmly on flavour.
